ON WEDNESDAY, November 29 nine ladies played a 3-person drop-out ambrose.
The winning team was Carol Stuart, Regina Driver and Helen Carlin with 79-11-68.
In second place was Cathy Shaddock, Lynne Fouracre and Jan Case on 89-20-70 from Dot McGillivray, Maree Gastin and Margaret Sims 86-15-71 in third position.
Nineteen men competed for the stableford aggregate prizes on Thursday last week with some super scores lodged.
Willie Laird (42 points) teamed with Joe Zurek (36) to win with a 78 point total.
Runners-up on 76 were Brian Davis (45 points) and Geoff Cutting (31) with Greg Long and Tony Hunter in 3rd place with a 70 point total.
Congratulations to Brian for playing his best ever competition round at Heathcote with 77.
Birdie ball went to Son Quach (8th), an eagle to Dean Jones (1st), par ball to Willie Laird and the superpin was claimed by Larry Maxwell.
On Friday and Saturday the inclement weather put a damper on both the chicken run and the Saturday ladies events.
The Saturday men were reduced to a field of seven with Adrian Goudie and Larry Maxwell scooping the pool the course was to become.
Adrian was the competition winner with 34 points, and was closest on both the 13th and 16th holes.
Adrian also took out the ton-up prize. Larry won NTP 18th and the superpin. The remaining competitors watched the PGA tournament after the golf.
Chicken Runs: David Clouston was the winner of the November 17 event while John Dunn won the November 24 chook with 19 points on a countback from Garth Fouracre.
Today: Men’s stroke final midweek medallist.
Friday: All-comers 9-hole stableford chicken run 3pm start.
Saturday: Ladies stableford - Men’s stroke and final McCarthy medal.
