WEDNESDAY, July 19 was the qualifying round for the Doris Chambers foursomes.
Eight ladies competed for the opportunity to represent the club in the state finals for the prestigious event.
Winners on a difficult day were the in-form pair of Daphne Hall and Dot McGillivray posting 109-31-78.
Runners-up were Carol Stuart and Amanda Long. They managed 105-24-81.
On Thursday, July 20 17 men played a stableford event and Adrian Goudie maintained his winning form with 37pts with daylight in second place.
Ball rundown was David Morris 35, Brian Davis 34, Alan Healy 34, Chris Dunn 33 and Larry Maxwell 33.
Birdie balls went to Larry Maxwell (2nd), Kent Davies (8th) and a par ball to Tony Hunter.
On Saturday, July 22 eight ladies arrived for a tough day at the office with Dot McGillivray again in 1st position with 30pts.
First runner-up on 28 was Dawn Hudson followed by Carol Stuart with 27.
The men’s stableford was also played in near-frigid conditions and the winners were notable for their amazing ability to survive in short sleeves.
Daniel Pianta triumphed in A&B grade with 35pts with polar bear Ron Blachford’s 31pts sufficient to take out C grade.
Ball run-down featured Stephen Hudson 34, Adrian Goudie 34, Greg Long 33, David Clouston 32, Larry Maxwell 31 and Adrian King 31.
Garry Boyes demolished the opposition with 19pts to win the encouragement award.
NTPs went to a visitor Jordan Yates (13th), Adrian King (16th) and Brian Davis was the 18th hole B grade and superpin winner.
Birdie balls to Stephen Hudson (2nd), Larry Maxwell (8th) and John Gastin (16th).
