THE ladies played a monthly medal event plus the fourth round of the Grace Plane putting and Silver Spoon at Heathcote Golf Club on Wednesday.
Lynne Fouracre outplayed the field to win the medal with 106-31-75 with Jan Case runner-up on 118-40-78. Helen Carlin took out the Silver Spoon and her 29 putts also won her the Grace Plane putting title.
On Thursday, a field of 28 men played a stableford round. Laurie Mueck took out first place honours in division one with 37 points and a fired up David Morris was victorious in division two with 33 points.
Ball winners were: Dean Jones 33, Brian Davis 33, Garry Boyes 32 and Ian Furneaux 32. Birdie balls went to Terry Shiels (6th), John Gastin (13th) and Larry Maxwell on the 18th.
Par balls went to Willie Laird and John Dobie, while the encouragement award went to Peter Hughes with 20 points.
Geoff Cutting celebrated his 60th birthday with a grandstand finish to take out the 18th NTP and superpin.
The Canadian Foursomes was played on a perfect winter’s day on Saturday, with Murray and Sue Green once again demonstrating their ability to play well as a team, being victorious on the day with 104-22-82.
Amanda Long was closest on the 8th and Dot McGillivray won the 18th hole NTP.
The final of the ladies singles knockout was played and Dawn Hudson won 3/2 after a very competitive match with Margaret Sims.
Well played both ladies and congratulations to Dawn on her first board event.
A stableford competition also took place on the same day, with a number of men including some visitors taking part.
Dean Jones was best in division one with 39 points while Ron Blachford easily dispatched his division two opponents, finishing on 37 points.
Ball winners were: Larry Maxwell 34, Martin Sims 34 and a visitor Barry Whiffen 33. Dean Reid who scored 18 points was the shoe-in for the encouragement award.
NTPs went to Stephen Hudson (13th), Murray Green (16th) and at the 18th hole Laurie Mueck (A grade and superpin) and Adrian King (B grade). Alan Healy and John Gastin both caught par balls. It was good to see Roy Williams back on the course.

Six Heathcote ladies entered this annual 36 hole competition, with Dot McGillivray continuing her stellar golf year to win the B grade nett.
She finished 7th in the gross despite giving away up to six shots to her rivals. Good golfing Dot!
Tristen Wearne was 9th in the A grade gross and 5th in the nett. Stephanie Wearne was 10th off the stick in A grade. Well played, ladies!
