Heathcote's under 17 side struggled with an undermanned line-up against Elmore.

ON A fine day at Pigeon Park, Heathcote’s under 17 football side had no choice but to field an undermanned side for the game against Elmore.

The Saints struggled in the first half, only managing to kick one goal as compared to Elmore’s 11.

Things were so bad that when the siren sounded to mark half-time, Heathcote was trailing by some 10 goals.

In the second half, the Saints put in a better performance, adding three goals to the scoreboard and managing to keep Elmore at bay.

Although the match resulted in the home side losing by 74 points, a considerable effort was made by the players and the score was more of a reflection of the side being undermanned.

Well done to the players on the day.

Final Result: Heathcote 4.2 (26) lost to Elmore 15.10 (100).
